With a body of work that includes prose, poetry, and, recently, her debut in children's literature with Quando eu era pequena (When I Was Little), Adélia enchants once again in A DURAÇÃO DO DIA (The Duration of the Day) with language that is both poetic and impactful. After 10 years without publishing a book of poetry, Adélia returns to the genre that made her famous. And confirms why she is one of the greatest poets in the country. A DURAÇÃO DO DIA exposes a subtle and seductive poet, in verses that speak of love, desires, frustrations, and dreams. A winding journey through the paths of the heart. With a style that contrasts the lightness of Words filled with the power of feeling, her unique perspective on seemingly unimportant everyday things reveals the perplexity and enchantment of life. In an extremely personal narrative, Adélia returns to recurring themes in her literature: provincial life, religiosity, the colors of the countryside, mirroring her own experience. Often, Adélia chooses to expose conflicts between the sacred and the profane, observed through simple objects in nature or even through the reading of a religious text. The book features texts filled with emotions that, for the author, are inseparable from creation, even though they are often born of suffering. Despite being numerous and varied, addressing themes as diverse as carnal love, divine love, the poet's vocation, and the colors and pains of life, the texts in THE LENGTH OF THE DAY possess a unity, a unique way of speaking.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0722/9197/5420/files/418a3e1c7b622abdc98997700749371d_9f2903e5-dcfe-46de-b430-16772c96d116.jpg?v=1777627449
solte-os-cachorros-1
