{"title":"Christina Autran","description":"","products":[{"product_id":"o-meu-alentejo","title":"My Alentejo","description":"To uncover a charming, pleasant, and welcoming region, a bit like Provence and Tuscany, where everyone speaks Portuguese. This was the intention of journalist Christina Autran, who recounts in *O MEU ALENTEJO* the period in which she established her new home—Quinta da Boa Vista—in Portuguese territory. Besides the amusing memories of her encounters with the locals, Christina also speaks of a hospitable land that offers travelers, or those who, like her, decide to put down roots, pleasures that are within sight and can be literally savored. Author of *Flavors of Brazil: Recipes from the Embassy*, winner of the 2006 World Cookbook Awards, the journalist took care to include recipes for Alentejo dishes, interspersed with tips for tours and places to visit in the region, even admitting that her favorite pastime is staying at home, in Brazil or Portugal, with her husband, a retired diplomat. \"I thought it was original to share my perspective, that of a Brazilian who sees the Alentejo with a less fleeting glance than that of someone just passing through. I wrote what I saw, how I felt,\" she says. Without pretending to be a guide, \"MY ALENTEJO\" is more of a passionate and impressionistic account, with suggestions for pleasant tours and activities, as well as personal recommendations for where to stay and stop. The Alentejo, just over an hour's drive from Lisbon, is a lovely region of Portugal, full of surprises, which deserves more time to enjoy than the usual escape for a typical lunch. \"I tell picturesque stories, suggest activities, recommend restaurants and places to stay, and give recipes for local delicacies,\" explains Christina. The author doesn't cover the entire Alentejo, which occupies one-third of Portugal's territory, but the Alentejo she knows and visits best and which is, in fact, the most visited: historic Portugal. \"I believe Alentejo is a gem waiting to be discovered. It's beautiful, pleasant, charming, and has an added advantage for Brazilians: it's a bit like Provence and Tuscany, except everyone speaks Portuguese. The food and wine are another highlight,\" he confesses.","brand":"Totvsrj-record-dc","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47159595696380,"sku":"9788501088895","price":59.9,"currency_code":"BRL","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0722\/9197\/5420\/files\/fbdc28618ac2dd05bb3dc00b1cdf3a6e.jpg?v=1778320502"}],"url":"https:\/\/www.record.com.br\/en\/collections\/christina-autran.oembed","provider":"Editora Record","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
