Devido à teologia feminista crítica que fazia – e faz – e à sua postura sobre a descriminalização do aborto, em 1995, o Vaticano a penalizou com o chamado “silêncio obsequioso”: por um largo tempo não pôde falar publicamente nem divulgar suas ideias. Atualmente presta assessoria a diferentes grupos na perspectiva ecofeminista. Colaboradora de revistas nacionais e internacionais de cultura e teologia, publicou artigos em diferentes idiomas.
