{"title":"Lucia Benedetti","description":"","products":[{"product_id":"o-casaco-encantado","title":"The enchanted coat","description":"The Enchanted Coat is a landmark in children's theater in Brazil. In 1948, with the play's premiere, Lucia Benedetti laid the foundations for Brazilian children's drama. The author—who also wrote *Simbita and the Dragon*—wanted shows for this audience to achieve the same scenic and literary quality as performances aimed at adults. In this story, friends Hansel and Gretel must quickly sew a coat for the King, or risk—oh dear!—losing their heads. But they receive an unexpected visit from the Wizard, which changes the adventure's course. A grandmother-narrator who meddles in the plot, a clock that makes its own time, a princess who is a former sorceress's apprentice, a magician's wife who is beaten by her husband, and a sycophantic minister also feature in this entertaining play. The Enchanted Coat was first performed in November 1948 at the Ginástico Theater in Rio de Janeiro, directed by Graça Melo and with sets and costumes by Nilson Pena, by Companhia Artistas Unidos. The play remains a landmark in Brazilian performing arts to this day: it is the founding father of children's theater performed by adults.","brand":"Totvsrj-record-dc","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47159477010684,"sku":"9788503008730","price":49.9,"currency_code":"BRL","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0722\/9197\/5420\/files\/01fad328d190db1334e2d1ee640e124f.jpg?v=1778313913"}],"url":"https:\/\/www.record.com.br\/en\/collections\/lucia-benedetti.oembed","provider":"Editora Record","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
