{"title":"Matt Bondurant","description":"","products":[{"product_id":"os-infratores","title":"The offenders","description":"White Mule, White Lightning, Firewater, Popskull, Stump Whiskey, Rotgut, Moon, Mountain Dew, Squirrel Whiskey, Sugarhead, Crazy Apple. All names refer to illicit beverages produced in Franklin County, Virginia, in the 1920s, during Prohibition. It was during this era that the Bondurant brothers became renowned for their craft of alcohol production and smuggling, establishing themselves as an influential and menacing family name in the region. Howard, the eldest, is a gigantic man, haunted by the horrors he witnessed in World War I; Forrest, the middle brother, is a born businessman, violent, known for his legendary indestructibility; and Jack, the youngest, has a taste for luxury and dreams of leaving Franklin. Always on the road, or on the run, these men build a dangerous business while living in a town ruled by the bitter taste of liquor. The infamous Bondurant brothers eventually spark the interest of writer and journalist Sherwood Anderson, tasked with writing a story for Liberty magazine about alcohol in the region. He soon discovers that, in an area steeped in alcohol, there's an unspoken law: drinking is a no-brainer. It's no coincidence that the characters in *The Lawbreakers* share the same last name as the author: the novel is based on the lives of Matt Bondurant's grandfather and great-uncles. With striking, intense prose, he brings these men, along with their dark deeds, long silences, and deep desires, back to life. His understanding of passion, violence, and despair in this world is simultaneously heartbreaking and splendid. The novel was adapted into a film starring Shia Labeouf, Tom Hardy, and Gary Oldman, with a screenplay and score by Nick Cave and directed by John Hillcoat (The Road). The film hits Brazilian theaters in October and is a strong contender for the 2013 Oscar.","brand":"Totvsrj-record-dc","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47159539171580,"sku":"9788501098757","price":74.9,"currency_code":"BRL","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0722\/9197\/5420\/files\/cd6cb00159485e1beee8d7959fbcb904_a4ba0598-04b0-4cf3-af81-1b6dc64b93f3.jpg?v=1778313826"},{"product_id":"a-terceira-traducao","title":"THE THIRD TRANSLATION","description":"THE THIRD TRANSLATION is a delightful book where reality and fiction blend.
