Sinopse

Governor Gracchus Multivirus enriches himself at Rome's expense: he keeps almost all the taxes collected in his province for himself and organizes memorable orgies with the money he collects. Therefore, when Quaestor Claudius Veredictus is sent by Caesar to examine his accounts, Multivirus is quick to poison him.

But Veredictus is not easily defeated, and he requests the help of the druid Panoramix to prepare his antidote. Always ready to help a sick person, even if they are Roman, the druid, however, needs a rare mountain flower, born in the wilds of Helvetia. Thus begins a new mission for Asterix and Obelix to the land of cuckoo clocks, banks, and melted cheese!

Created by Albert Uderzo and René Goscinny, the first story in the Adventures of Asterix, The Gaul, was published on page 20 of Pilote magazine in 1959. The story of the Irreducible Gauls was an immediate success, and the magazine sold over 300,000 copies. Such popularity led to the publication of the first solo album in 1961: Asterix the Gaul . Since then, the Asterix series has continued to grow: over 30 albums translated into 107 languages, more than 10 films, and a theme park! The Adventures of Asterix have been published in Brazil by Editora Record since 1980.

Albert Uderzo

O ilustrador Didier Conrad nasceu em Marselha, na França, e se mudou para os Estados Unidos, onde trabalhou na Disney e na Dreamworks. Em 1996, criou os personagens para a animação O caminho para El Dorado, da Disney (2000).

Fabcaro nasceu em Montpellier, em 1973, filho de um cozinheiro e uma atendente de caixa. Depois de estudar física, ele se matriculou IUFM para se tornar professor, mas acabou virando cartunista e roteirista de quadrinhos em 1996, trabalhando para várias revistas. É o autor do romance Figurec e da tira Zaï Zaï Zaï Zaï. Tornou-se conhecido por seu humor surrealista.
