Narrative analysis: Text, fiction and narration

Our culture reserves a vast space for narratives of myths and legends—both ancient and modern—and for all the everyday narratives of family life, including press narratives and literary novels. Yves Reuter chose the narratological approach to describe the basic concepts and descriptive tools that allow for a deeper study of the major levels of narrative organization: fiction, narration, and text creation. He shows us that the concepts of narratological analysis are relatively simple, perfectly explainable, and highly precise. They are not contradictory to those of other interpretative theories. The principles of narrative analysis are presented with the help of numerous examples chosen from both literary works and other types of narratives: newspaper articles, songs, fables... to better understand the common source of the different narratives and the scope of application of the concepts presented.
