The tree

The tree that gives this book its name is not imagination or invention. It exists and helps many residents of a part of our country that suffers greatly from drought. To the backcountry hiker, it offers protective and pleasant shade; to the reader, dreams and reflection. It addresses ecology and social issues with delicacy and intelligence, in a text inspired by cordel literature.
