The Paper Girl tells the story of Tom Boyd, the author of the moment. The first two volumes of his Angel Trilogy have already sold millions of copies and have a worldwide following. But after losing his true love, Tom falls into a deep creative crisis and feels unable to write a single line of the long-awaited final book in the trilogy, turning to drink and drugs to ease his pain. One night, a mysterious woman appears at his house and claims to be Billie, a character from his novels, who fell from the page into the real world due to a printing error in the second volume of the trilogy. If Tom doesn't write again, she will die. Together, they embark on a fabulous journey along the Californian and Mexican coasts to try to reclaim Tom's lost love and, thus, his inspiration. What he doesn't even suspect, however, is that fate is capricious and perhaps things won't be as he imagines... The Paper Girl is a story of love and suspense that transcends fiction, a romantic and humorous adventure that unfolds at the intersection of the real, the imaginary and the fantastic.
