At the height of the duo's success, an accident takes Alex's life and forces Oliver to close himself off from the world. For him, nothing makes sense anymore. However, after much reluctance, six months after the tragedy, the singer agrees to return to the stage for a solo show. But the sadness and anxiety of performing for the first time without his brother prevent him from stepping up to the microphone. Oliver then runs off to do what he's done best since the accident: get drunk.

Emery Taylor lost her job and now works as a waitress in a small bar to support her five-year-old daughter. Alex & Oliver are Emery's favorite artists, and even without their knowledge, they've helped her get through the most difficult times in her life.
