BEFORE TIMES AFTER: SHORT ESSAYS

Before Times After: Short Essays contains one hundred texts selected from those published by Roberto Cavalcanti de Albuquerque between 2000 and 2006 in the Diário de Pernambuco and Jornal do Commercio, traditional publications of the Recife press. These writings, considered essays in the sense of an attempt to understand contemporary reality, also invite debate on topics from the varied agendas that have inhabited the public sphere in Brazil and around the world in recent years.
