Antony Beevor

Antony Beevor estudou em Winchester e na Academia Militar de Sandhurst. Tornou-se oficial regular do 11º Regimento de Hussardos e deixou o exército depois de cinco anos para se tornar escritor. Publicou quatro romances e seis livros de não-ficção, entre os quais Berlim, 1945 e Stalingrado. Foi vencedor dos prêmios Samuel Johnson de Não-Ficção, Wolfson de História e o Hawthornden; The Spanish Civil War; Inside the British Army; Crete - The Battle and the Resistance e Paris After the Liberation, 1944-1949, este último em parceria com a mulher, Artemis Cooper.
