Blackout

During a summer blackout, a family reconnects. It was a summer like any other. And it was night in the city. A hot, noisy, and busy night. Then... all the lights went out. The TV shuts off and a boy laments, his sister can't use the phone anymore, his mother can't work on her computer, and his father can't finish cooking dinner. And everything was different. But it wasn't so bad because not everyone likes things to stay the same. Outside, people are having fun—talking, rollerblading, and eating ice cream before it melts. The boy and his family enjoy being less busy for once. Blackout is a beautiful work written and illustrated by John Rocco.
