Cloth Witch

A CELEBRATION OF CHILDHOOD AND INNER LIFE. Thirteen-year-old Rita tells us her story. Her childhood surrounded by siblings and her desire for a sister; her delightful, leafy backyard; the company and love of her great-aunt, who told stories and made rag dolls; and her dealing with death and longing, revealing her ways of coping with them. The project has a new look – new layout and covers by designer Glenda Rubinstein. José Olympio has already published Veludinho, Era uma vez um rio, Bicho do mato, and Os três capetinhas. The author develops the Bicho do Mato Project on her Água Limpa farm in Uberlândia. The project aims to benefit students in the region with activities in writing, Portuguese language, literature, visual arts, and environmental education.
