King's dogs

A former nobleman, a painter, and a murder that jeopardizes the unification of England. In an attempt to secure peace in England, King Cnut summons Saxons, Danes, Vikings, and Jutes to a meeting in Oxford. However, days before the meeting between Saxon nobles, bishops, and Danish advisors, the death of a Saxon nobleman shakes the already fragile stability of the region, hindering Cnut's plans. To ensure the success of his plans, the king chooses an unlikely pair to solve the crime: Halfdan, once a nobleman and now impoverished, and Winston, a painter and former novice. Following the murder clues, the two stumble upon a vast conspiracy. A new question arises: can they solve the mystery and stay alive?
