Letter to Alice explores the difference between life in the "big city," Rio de Janeiro, where she lived, and the peaceful, free life on the farms and plantations. These are sweet stories about an old-fashioned childhood spent in the heart of Brazil, between the Southeast and Northeast regions, and memories of relatives, friends, pets, and travels. "I was speechless just looking at that sea, that white sand, everything so colorful, blue, white, green, there was light everywhere," writes the author. "I just wanted to run, touch that fine sand, wet my feet, and collect lots of seashells." Letter to Alice is also intended for girls, boys, women, and men who have never abandoned their inner child.
