Sinopse

In Celebrity Killer , one of Eve Dallas' most famous cases is adapted for the screen. But the lieutenant is forced to take on her role as a police officer when one of the lead actresses is found dead at a launch party.

Lieutenant Eve Dallas feels panicked, despite not being at a crime scene. Forced to attend a celebrity-studded dinner to celebrate the release of a film based on her most famous case, she finds herself surrounded by actors and actresses who look a lot like everyone around her in real life. Until a murder occurs during the dinner.

The detestable actress who plays Peabody on screen, Eve's real-life partner, is found dead, floating face down in the mansion's pool. Eve decides to question the suspects immediately, before they leave the premises, and discovers that it would be difficult to find someone without a motive.

Subsequently, a private detective is also killed and a compromising recording disappears, all amidst the filming of an extremely expensive production. Eve must fight to maintain objectivity and a sharp mind in order to stop a celebrity who, in addition to murdering people, is extremely cold and calculating.

Celebrity Killer is the 34th volume in the "Deadly " series by J.D. Robb, the pseudonym of the famous Nora Roberts. "Deadly," which has sold over 400,000 copies in Brazil, is considered the most successful crime series in the world.
