Deadly spark

A new criminal is ravaging the city with an invisible yet omnipresent weapon in modern society: the power grid. When an attack occurs and nearly destroys a bus, authorities fear it's a terrorist act and so call in Lincoln Rhyme, one of the world's leading forensic experts. A quadriplegic, he enlists Detective Amelia Sachs and Officer Ron Pulaski as his eyes, ears, and legs in analyzing the crime scene. As new attacks occur, letters of demand emerge, forcing the team to work against the clock and with little evidence to find the killer. Or were they killers? At the same time, Rhyme is consulting on another important investigation in Mexico: he's searching for the Watchmaker, one of the few criminals to have managed to escape the forensic expert. Juggling two urgent cases, Rhyme's health takes a toll, and he must face yet another battle. However, his determination to work despite his physical limitations threatens to put his own life and the lives of his closest allies at risk.
