Fernanda Young's new book brings together two long-awaited novels. The first, about love and depression, is narrated by Anna, a silent protagonist who, through music, allows herself to feel sadness. The second is a selection of Fernanda Young's last writings, motivated by an agreement with her analyst: she could only return to the session with a new text in hand. Published as the author left them, the writings allow us to rediscover the intensity, acidity, and humor that marked Fernanda Young's unique style, whether in literature or in screenplays for film and television.
