I hid my voice

At four years old, Shahab hasn't yet said his first word. The child doesn't understand what words mean and even thinks they're a compliment, until one day his cousin plays a prank on him, intending to prove to everyone that the boy truly is the neighborhood joke. When his mother reports the incident to her husband, Shahab feels terrible when he realizes that his father also believes his silence brings embarrassment to the family. Shahab soon recognizes that his father's love and esteem are focused on his brothers. And from that moment on, his world, which he thought was filled with beauty and kindness, suddenly transforms, hardening with anger and shame. No one in the family understands his behavior or seems to offer the acceptance he desperately craves. Will Shahab be able to experience some happiness and finally find his voice?
