Children of the country

The realities of Brazil and Angola are, at times, very similar, as can be seen in this beautiful and impactful collection of Angolan short stories. João Melo's characters move between an extremely harsh reality and dreams constantly postponed in the face of the severity of everyday life, in a movement that often becomes too frantic.
