Escape from the Andes

Journalist Humberto Morabito interrupts his vacation in Peru to accompany a group of reporters investigating the murder of Shining Path guerrillas, a terrorist group operating in the Andean region in the 1980s. Mistaken for terrorists, the journalists are all killed, except Humberto, who is unable to join the group after meeting a mysterious woman with whom he falls in love. Shocked by the news, he decides to investigate Shining Path's activities on his own. Thus, the reporter becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue, espionage, and violence, while simultaneously searching for the mysterious woman to whom he owes his life.
