This book is the result of Professor Darc Costa's experience as Coordinator of the Center for Strategic Studies at the Escola Superior de Guerra (ESG). The work is divided into three parts, presenting a set of formulations that underpin the structuring of a National Strategy. Its precepts are presented through a trilogy: Aspects of Civilization, Aspects of Nation, and Aspects of Insertion, which seeks to create the basic elements for structuring the discussion and study of Brazil's National Strategy. In Aspects of Civilization, the author analyzes the history of the ideas that built the West. In Aspects of the Nation, he evolves to present the pillars on which Brazil was built, and in Aspects of Insertion, he delves deeper into the theme of National Strategy. Topics such as Brazil's energy matrix, South American integration, national security and defense, and the fate of the Amazon appear in the work, related to the issues and challenges of the global geopolitical landscape.
