Gulliver

Saving history can be interpreted as a mission. The goal is to save great stories from oblivion by retelling them, now using appropriate language, for new generations. Passing on the legacy of the great classics of world literature to young readers has become an urgent matter, which has been taken on by the Save The Story project. The result is a personal narrative—by each author—of a common and universal story, alongside drawings by experienced and talented illustrators. At the end of each copy, a text contextualizes the importance of the stories and talks about their original authors. A classic of British literature, Gulliver tells the adventures of Lemuel Gulliver through distant lands filled with strange creatures, such as giants and talking horses. Winner of the Writers' Guild Best Fiction Award, the Prix Médicis Etranger, and the 1st European Young Readers' Prize, among others, Jonathan Coe is the author of six novels published by Record. All of them have been well received by critics.
