Nicholas Cox is the illegitimate son of a retired champion fencer, and he aspires to follow in the footsteps of the father he barely knows. His dream of having the opportunity and training necessary to compete in major competitions seems close to reality now that he has been accepted into the prestigious Kings Row. However, instead, Nicholas finds himself in a cruel world where he must prove to everyone, and to himself, that he is worthy of becoming a great fencer.

After arriving at the prestigious Kings Row, Nicholas will have his first chance to prove himself in the competitive world of fencing at the school's team tryouts. However, making the team and having a chance to compete against the Exton Institute, whose team is led by his half-brother, Jesse Coste, will be no easy feat.

After many rounds between the students, it's almost time to find out who will make up the new Kings Row School fencing team, but there's still the fight the whole school has been waiting for: Nicholas Cox vs. Seiji Katayama.
