Lesser Town: Remains of Prague

Through everyday stories, a beautiful and colorful portrait of Prague in the late 19th century. Jan Neruda shows us the daily life of Malá Strana, a middle-class neighborhood of the time. The stories range from the tragic to the comical, from small dramas and disagreements in a large complex of residential buildings, to the two men who for several years met at the café every day but never spoke, to the ironic and sad story of the beggar who starved to death after being accused of being illegally wealthy.
