Mom & Me & Mom is a book for everyone because of its ability to touch with truth, poetry and love.

The last book published by poet and activist Maya Angelou, "Mommy & Me & Mommy," describes her turbulent relationship with her mother, businesswoman Vivian "Lady" Baxter, with whom she returned to live at age 13, after ten years under the care of her paternal grandmother. The autobiographical yet poetic narrative tells the story of the (re)construction of this mother-daughter relationship in search of reconciliation, which ultimately translates into a powerful story of love and healing.
