Memory of water

A science fiction with touches of 1984, in a world where whoever has water, has power. In the distant future, after many wars, Europe has been conquered by China, and the most precious commodity of ancient times has become as scarce as freedom. Water has been controlled and distributed in quotas by the military. Noria is the daughter of a tea master, an ancient profession that knows the location of water sources. She is being trained to replace her father, and among all his teachings, he reveals his greatest secret to her: a hidden natural spring that provides water for the family. Helpless in a destroyed world, she begins to question the meaning of such privilege. Keeping this secret is denying help to the rest of the population, and helping them is risking one's own life: the military severely punishes anyone discovered using an illegal water source. As her father taught her, it takes wisdom to understand the true power of water. But Noria also learned that wisdom represents, above all, the power to decide one's own destiny, the choice between fighting and surrendering.
