In the future, a mysterious event (known as the Passage) will grant those born after this date the ability to see and communicate with the dead. As one of these people, Aura spends her entire life dealing with this condition. When her boyfriend's 18th birthday approaches, Aura knows it will be the best one yet. His band has a mega-show scheduled, and a party is planned. Everything is going according to plan until her boyfriend dies... and comes back.
