Not all the oil is ours

This book, authored by two eminent Brazilians, demonstrates, with a wealth of detail and information, the importance of the nation's control over its natural resources. Among the most important natural resources, and therefore the target of the greatest international covetousness, is oil, a source of energy for many essential activities, primarily transportation, but also for the rich and broad spectrum of petrochemicals. Brazil created its model for exploiting black gold, consolidated in the 1950s with the creation of Petrobrás, and also charted appropriate paths for the production of hydroelectricity and, later, for biofuels. The publication of this book revives the importance of the debate surrounding the defense of our mineral resources, especially as the dispute over oil is exacerbating international crises.
