After evolving in their lives as mortals and successfully fulfilling their role as guardian angels, the god-students were given the mission of managing human multitudes. To this end, each of them is tasked with caring for a population, helping them develop survival instincts, creating cities, waging war, and inventing religions. Among those chosen for this new class of divine students are anonymous figures, such as the protagonist Michael Pinson and his friends, and illustrious personalities, such as Marilyn Monroe and Édith Piaf. A story in which readers will learn, in an entertaining way, about mythology and, moreover, general history. Through the narrator, Werber presents a reinterpretation of important episodes in humanity, describing them without directly citing them. In fact, he provides clues so that readers can interpret them and discover for themselves what they are about.
