During the last ten years of her life, Frida Kahlo made her diary an intimate space, a shelter, an unfiltered mirror to convey her personality. Frida Kahlo's Diary. A New Look is a new edition of Frida Kahlo's beloved work, which was kept secret for nearly 40 years in Mexico. Presented to the Brazilian public in hardcover, the work brings together a color facsimile, a transcription of the original writings, and three previously unpublished introductory texts: by Claudia Madrazo, the editor responsible for the original project; by art historian Karen Cordero Reiman; and by writer Eduardo Casar. All are fellow countrymen of Frida's and invite us to feel, hear, and appreciate the diary's visual and literary forms.
