Harper Lee nasceu em 1926, em Monroeville, Alabama - cidade que também legou à literatura americana o jornalista Truman Capote, amigo da escritora. Nos anos 1950, mudou-se para Nova York, onde escreveu O sol é para todos.

Angie Thomas nasceu, foi criada e ainda vive em Jackson, no Mississipi. É bacharel em Creative Writing pela Belhaven University e possui um diploma não oficial em Hip Hop. Seu livro de estreia, O ódio que você semeia (The hate U give), foi o primeiro a vencer o Walter Dean Meyers Grant, em 2015, na categoria We Need Diverse Books.

Stefano Volp nasceu em 1990, no Espírito Santo, e radicou-se no Rio de Janeiro. Escritor, roteirista e tradutor, é autor de Homens pretos (não) choram, O beijo do Rio e O segredo das larvas. Volp vive com o companheiro, é viciado em bolo de festa e escreve roteiros para o audiovisual.

Mark Haddon é escritor, ilustrador, cartunista e roteirista. Nasceu em Northampton, Reino Unido, em 1962. Escreveu mais de 15 livros infantis e trabalhou por um tempo com crianças autistas.
