The Exorcist in the House of the Sun: Stories from Hilda Hilst's Last Pupil

Hilda Hilst's last pupil, Yuri Vieira, recounts the two years they lived together at Casa do Sol, as the author's residence was known. Yuri Vieira had an experience many writers wish they had: living in the home of one of the greatest authors in Brazilian literature, Hilda Hilst. Living with Hilda came with a package deal, usually accompanied by many other great figures and over seventy dogs. Young Yuri, in his early twenties and having previously written only *The Academic Tragicomedy: Unpublished Tales from the Third Grade*, saw Hilda's invitation to live at Casa do Sol as a major opportunity for his life. The book recounts his time there, based on the author's memories, emails, and notes taken at the time.
