Max Gunther (1926-1998) foi jornalista e escritor especializado em economia e finanças. Seu pai foi um dos formuladores dos Axiomas de Zurique. Aos 13 anos, Max Gunther obteve seu primeiro ganho de capital no mercado de ações e não parou de lucrar desde então. Nasceu na Inglaterra, migrou aos 11 para os Estados Unidos, onde se graduou pela Universidade de Princeton e iniciou sua carreira promissora. O autor trabalhou em grandes veículos de comunicação, como a Business Magazine e a revista Time. Também foi colaborador da Playboy e do Sunday Evening Post. Escreveu 26 livros, entre eles Os axiomas de Zurique, O fator sorte, Milionários instantâneos e Os muito, muito ricos e como eles conseguiram chegar lá.
