The smile of women is a story that enchants and warms the heart.

Aurélie Bredin is the young and sensitive owner of the restaurant Le Temps des Cerises, in the heart of Paris. It was there, in this small and romantic restaurant, that her father won her mother's heart, thanks to the famous menu d'amour . And it was there, surrounded by the aroma of chocolate and cinnamon, that Aurélie grew up and found solace in life's difficult moments. But now, after a heartbreak, not even the welcoming warmth of the kitchen can comfort her.

One afternoon, sadder than ever, Aurélie takes refuge in a bookstore, where she comes across a novel titled The Smile of Women . Intrigued, she begins reading and realizes that the protagonist is inspired by her and that her restaurant is one of the main settings.

Surprised, Aurélie decides to contact the author—a mysterious and reclusive Englishman—but it's not an easy task. She doesn't give up, and when she finally meets the writer, the encounter turns out to be quite different from what she had imagined...

With his original, light and passionate writing, Nicolas Barreau blends love, mystery, charm and the flavors of Parisian cuisine in The Smile of Women .

"" The Smile of Women is a romantic story with a hint of adventure and suspense, to read and cook - the book also includes the menu d'amour , with all of Aurélie's recipes"" - Elle Italia
