Jack Hammond ended his promising professional career by getting involved with a client's girlfriend. Fired from the prestigious law firm where he worked, he had no choice but to make a living defending frivolous cases. One day, his friend and former addict, Doug, turns up dead with a syringe stuck in his arm. Jack knew it wasn't an overdose, as the police had suspected.
