Where are you, Yemanja?

An invitation to learn a little more about the African influence on our culture. It's December 31st, and Camila is looking forward to the New Year's celebrations. Not only is it a time to renew hope, but it's also the day of Yemanja, the mermaid protector of the seas. While the island where she lives prepares for the festivities, the girl sets out in a small boat in search of the queen of the sea. Leny Werneck has around twenty children's titles published in Brazil and France, was vice-president of IBBY, worked as a consultant for UNESCO and was responsible for Brazil's first stand at the Bologna International Fair.
