Paulo Freire and developmental nationalism

The book makes an important contribution to understanding the political and social universe of the theories developed by educator Paulo Freire. It analyzes the educator's work as a tributary of the national developmentalist ideology developed at Iseb from the 1950s until the publication of Álvaro Vieira Pinto's work in the 1960s. It allows for a greater understanding of that historical moment and its influence on one of the most important and controversial educators.
