New book by the winner of the Sesc Literature Award. "Porca" tells the story of the supposed writer of a novel of the same name, who prepares to welcome a married woman into his home, who, through subterfuge, will spend a few days with him; and the story of Bernardo, who works in a bookstore, unhappy, bitter, and dissatisfied. Against this backdrop, a totalitarian regime with a clear religious bias rises to power through direct elections, resulting in extreme and absurd measures, such as the banning of Carnival. In their small worlds—apartments, hotel rooms, gliding between sofas, glasses of carménère, whiskey, books, and threads of bedsheets—Bernardo and Roberto, Marie, and the unnamed "She" are characters in an endless, unfinished plot, where the disorder of order throbs like a constant murmur, without beginning or end.
