Independence Revolutions and Nationalisms in the Americas: The La Plata Region and Chile

This is the first volume of the Margins of Latin America Collection, covering the area of the former Viceroyalty of La Plata (which currently encompasses Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile). The purpose of this collection is to address topics within the cultural, political, and intellectual history of various Latin American countries, which can be approached from a comparative perspective. It highlights the richness of the differences found, or the "margins" that exist between the various societies of this Latin America.
