In just over twenty years of existence, Santugri now receives its second edition.

None of the usual folklore, the traditional character of Bahia and the Rio de Janeiro hilltop, tourist-tropicalist. Nor is this a literature of resentment and reckoning for past crimes. The predominant note is good humor, a deep sense of independence, pride, and self-esteem, which runs throughout this collection of eighteen short stories. This collection is composed of eighteen short stories, spanning a broad period, from the African ancestry to the 21st-century Brazilian period.
