See You Yesterday is a romantic comedy with a sci-fi twist, in the style of the classic 1990s film Groundhog Day. Barrett Bloom wanted a new life at university, to make the most of it from day one... But being stuck there was definitely not in the cards. From the author of Today, Then, Tomorrow .
It's the first day of university.
Barrett Bloom's only wish is for this to be a fresh start after the rocky experience that was high school. But right away, everything goes wrong.
She's humiliated by the know-it-all in her physics class, ruins her interview for the college newspaper, and, at a party that night, accidentally sets fire to a fraternity house. After panicking and fleeing, she realizes her roommate has locked her out of the dorm, and ends up falling asleep in the student commons.
The next morning, Barrett isn't quite ready to face a new day. But to her surprise, she wakes up in her own bed, no longer smelling of ash and shattered dreams. Something very strange is happening: it's September 21st. Again! And after a confrontation with Miles, the physics class's know-it-all, she discovers she's not alone. He's been stuck on the same day for months.
When her attempts to fix the timeline fail, she agrees to team up with Miles to find a way out. Together, they explore the mysterious underworld of the university and research scientific alternatives to free themselves from the time loop. Gradually, Barrett and Miles begin to fall in love, and they face the biggest unanswered question in the universe: what will happen to them both if they finally reach tomorrow?
She just needs tomorrow to be a new day... But it never is.
“A time-traveling romantic comedy that captures the overwhelming nature of first love.” — Kirkus Reviews
