In A Beautiful Face, Lori presents the issue of obesity and self-love, showing that success is always in each person's hands and that labels were made to be broken. Mary works in a pharmacy, is 43 years old, 5'6" tall, weighs 330 pounds, and is preparing for her silver wedding anniversary with the tall, handsome Jimmy Gooch. However, he disappears, leaving her a strange note and a bill with a considerable amount. Frightened and unable to understand why, Mary sets out to find her beloved. To many, this may seem normal, but she's never been to an airport, doesn't know how to use a cell phone, and is frightened by any financial problem.
