Sinopse
"

The third volume of a trilogy for both those who act and direct, as well as those who simply study theater.

Fans of An Actor in Preparation and The Construction of Character will greatly appreciate The Creation of a Role. In this book, Stanislavski dedicates himself to studying "the preparation of specific roles, beginning with the first reading of the play and the development of the first scene," dissecting all the work an actor must do to forget his own individuality and embrace another—the one he will bring to life on stage.

The Creation of a Role was translated from the American edition by critic and theater director Pontes de Paula Lima, a promoter in Brazil of the scenic processes created by Stanislavski.

It's a book for all theater professionals, as well as its students. Whether you agree or disagree with the work, in whole or in parts, it's impossible not to feel stimulated and enriched by it.
