Amy and Matthew

Sometimes, "I love you" is the hardest thing to say. Amy and Matthew didn't really know each other. They weren't friends. Matthew knew who she was, of course, but he also knew who several other people were who weren't her friends. Amy had a perpetual facade of happiness plastered on her face, even though she has a debilitating disability that restricts her movement. Matthew never planned to tell Amy what he thought, but after he tells her to face reality and stop fooling herself, she realizes that's exactly someone she needs. As they spend more time together, Amy discovers that Matthew also has his own problems and secrets, and decides to try to help him the way he helped her. And when the relationship that began as friendship turns into something else neither of them expected (or can define), they realize they tell each other everything... except what matters most.
