History, memory and literature: for the first time in a single volume, the collected works of Anne Frank.
Anne Frank is one of the world's most famous and widely read authors. Thousands of people visit the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam every year to see the annex where the girl and her family hid from the Germans before being discovered and sent to Auschwitz in 1944. Only Anne's father, Otto, survived the Holocaust.
Anne Frank Collected Works brings to Brazil for the first time the definitive edition of Anne Frank's diary, translated directly from Dutch. An essential work for scholars and the general public, it contains all of her writings—including other versions of her diary: the original version and the version edited by Anne herself, with a view to future publication—as well as important images and documents that expand knowledge of her story. It is also complemented by essays by various scholars and historians, including "The Life of Anne Frank," "The History of the Anne Frank Family," and "The History of the Reception of the Diary," along with photos of the Frank family and the other occupants of the annex.
