Sinopse
A silent revolution has taken over our habits. It began discreetly, with greater participation in fatherhood, then moved on to the kitchen and laundry room, and now it's safe to say there's no stopping it. The man is the new master of the home. The new romantic. The new matchmaker. He's not ashamed to cry, remembers the date of his first kiss, and knows by heart where the towels are and which are dry. After the success of "Scoundrel!" and "Woman the Perdigueira," Carpinejar portrays the change in male behavior. He now discovers the Borralheiro, a character who doesn't feel belittled for taking care of household chores. With heavy doses of lyricism and humor, Carpinejar embarks on a one-way journey through the house. He wanders through each room, playing with the differences in behavior between husband and wife and destroying the conditioning of sex and love. The writer doesn't shy away from a good relationship discussion, so much so that he believes the fight should be professionalized with "O Dia da DR." In 100 chronicles, the writer reveals his amusing seduction strategies and offers savory warnings to young men, such as never touching your girlfriend's belly button or pinching her cheeks. The secrets revealed are dangerous and have immediate side effects. Concerned about a possible Carpinejar epidemic, Luis Fernando Verissimo sparks a national mobilization: "I protest, in the name of the class. Carpinejar wasn't content with being the best of the new poets; he also invaded our field with the same originality and is already one of the best columnists in the country. No one knows what he'll be capable of in the future if he's not stopped... He must be stopped. Don't encourage him. Speak ill of him. And, under no circumstances, buy this book!" Borralheiro converts the most insignificant everyday facts into theories of sensitivity, exploring the profiles of family types such as father-in-law, uncle, mother, and siblings. The author invites everyone to rethink their routine and fall in love with marriage all over again. If in "Scoundrel!" he pointed out the importance of milk carton spouts, here he shares cups of cream cheese and yogurt with his wife. By the time the reader finishes the book, they'll be sweeping the living room, cleaning their lives, preparing food and conversations, making their beds and thoughts, hanging their clothes and their fragility on the line, and catering to the other person's insane whims. REASONS TO BE A BORRALHEIRO: * Since all companies are imitating the home environment, see Facebook, it's more comfortable to be original and stay in your own home. * Power is tiring, stressful, and causes heart attacks. Submission ensures longevity. * Nothing is more peaceful than living on an allowance. * Enjoying your children's childhood with pay-per-view availability. * Watching soccer channels at any time. * Learning pole dancing steps and refining sexual fantasies. * Complaining that your family never appreciates you. * Specializing in the art of conspiracy and intrigue. * Influencing the behavior of others through gossip. * Revisit your childhood model airplane collection. * Discuss your relationship more often and expand your repertoire of swear words at the soccer stadium. * Stay safe from court and charges, as no housewife has ever been prosecuted. * Improve your sense of infidelity by being able to go through pockets, clothes, and drawers. * Get an income tax exemption. * Enjoy your free time with classes, movies, and theater. * Get revenge on your mother by cooking better than her. * Finally, it's always more pleasurable to suck up to your wife than to your boss.
