Sinopse

Paradise Lost is the third book in the Children of Eden series. In this final volume of the trilogy, we follow the hunt for Metatron, the oldest and most powerful of the angels, who recently escaped from imprisonment in the Second Heaven and now seeks to reclaim control of the world, defying both the legions of the archangel Michael and the revolutionary troops of Gabriel.

Metatron was the leader of the Sentinels, a choir sent to Earth by God at the beginning of time, tasked with protecting and instructing humanity. When the archangels decided to wipe out humanity, plunging the planet into an ice age, Metatron and his minions revolted, becoming enemies of heaven and subsequently being persecuted.

Paradise Lost is divided into three parts, each with its own atmosphere and distinct characters. The first section takes place in Asgard, the realm of the Norse gods, where Denyel, the exiled angel, awakens at the end of the previous volume of the trilogy after being sucked into the Oceanus River. Kaira, the Divine Spark, one of Gabriel's archons, comes to meet him with the goal of rescuing him and bringing him back to the physical plane via the legendary Bifrost Bridge.

The second part takes place before the flood. As shown in the previous volume, Ablon the Avenger, then one of Michael's generals, is ordered to capture Metatron and bring him alive to the Seven Heavens. The second third of the book highlights this period, revealing a different Ablon than the one we met in the pages of The Battle of the Apocalypse , still loyal to his leaders and the forces of heaven.

These two journeys converge in part three, which will finally explain how Ablon, thirty-five thousand years ago, managed to enclose Metatron, and how Kaira, Urakin and Denyel, in the present, will face the powerful angel, a celestial much stronger than them, invincible in many aspects.

Paradise Lost is an extraordinary adventure that concludes the monumental saga begun in Heirs of Atlantis and expanded in Angels of Death , culminating in the events that will give rise to the great Battle of the Apocalypse, portrayed in the novel of the same name by Eduardo Spohr.
