Sinopse
"

One of the main books by Edgar Morin, one of the greatest thinkers of our time, a bestseller in Brazil with more than 150 thousand copies sold.

About to complete ten years since its release in Brazil, "Meu Caminho" presents thirteen interviews granted by Edgar Morin to journalist Djénane Kareh Tager throughout 2008. In them, the author demonstrates the unity of a magnificent body of work, marked by diversity and vicissitudes. From the beginning of the book, the reader is immersed in Edgar Morin's life, from his involvement in the communist resistance to his break with Stalinism. He belongs to the generation of intellectuals who concealed, under the heat of action, the gangrene that constituted the Stalinist regime, without, however, adhering to its dogmas. This personal reflection and his independence constitute the forces that inspire him to this day.

In "My Path ," the man, writer, sociologist, inventor of complex thought, actor in social life, and even politics, frees himself, not hiding his emotions or passions, and revealing to the reader his own experience in life, love, old age, and facing death. Humanity's future is at the heart of Edgar Morin's reflections: it's about building on all the positive aspects of science and technology, developing a solidarity economy and fair trade. For him, the economic crisis is both a risk and an opportunity for humanity. It can favor retrograde forces or the emergence of positive solutions that will forever change the global system. This is one man's path. This is the thinking that formed along this path and produced a greater work.

Divided into topics such as Luna and Vidal (named after his mother and father), The Complexity of the World, and My Method (a reference to the book of the same name, divided into six volumes), My Path also includes an epilogue titled Rebirths, in which he speaks more philosophically about life. "I took as my motto the verses of Antonio Machado, which I quote ad nauseam: 'Walker, there is no path, the path is made by walking...'" writes the author.
